Women who are victims of violence are treated by the Unified Health System (SUS), but they can be referred to other services, each governed by a specific public policy. Women living in poverty are more susceptible to suffering violence in its different forms. Most cases are treated by different professionals who are part of Violence Prevention Centers. There is a need to develop work with intersectoral support; the quality of care depends on the effectiveness of the referrals made, according to the complexity of the demands presented, making interaction between services of the same public policy or to other sectors essential. The aim of this study was to analyze the care provided to women who are victims of violence in situations of poverty, as well as to explore the intersectoral approach involved. To this end, a critical reading of articles on these themes was adopted. The conclusion is that intersectoral approach is an important tool in the care provided to women who are victims of violence treated by the SUS, significantly expanding the care offered. To this end, it is essential that, regardless of the field of activity, professionals are prepared to identify women who are victims of violence and refer them appropriately to the necessary services.
